Augusta University is a public research university founded in 1828 in Augusta, Georgia, home to the Medical College of Georgia — the oldest medical school in the Southeast and one of the largest medical schools in the US by enrollment. Augusta University’s academic medical center serves as the primary healthcare institution for Eastern Georgia and Western South Carolina.
