The Citadel is a public senior military college founded in 1842 in Charleston, South Carolina — one of only six Senior Military Colleges in the United States (with VMI, Norwich, Texas A&M, North Georgia, and Virginia Tech). Enrolling 2,300 Corps of Cadets students plus graduate students, The Citadel produces military officers and civilian leaders with strong engineering, business, and criminal justice programs.
