Hostos Community College is a public community college of the City University of New York (CUNY), founded in 1968 and named after Puerto Rican educator and patriot Eugenio Maria de Hostos. Located in the South Bronx, Hostos is the only officially bilingual (English/Spanish) college in the northeastern United States and serves a predominantly Latino student population. The college enrolls approximately 8,000 students.
