The United States Military Academy (West Point) is the nation’s oldest service academy, founded in 1802 on the Hudson River 50 miles north of New York City. West Point is among the most selective and prestigious undergraduate institutions in the United States. All tuition, room, and board are fully funded by the US government in exchange for five years of active duty Army service upon graduation. The Academy enrolls approximately 4,400 cadets and awards BS degrees across more than 40 academic majors.
