Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is a world-renowned private research institution founded in 1890 on Long Island, New York, home to eight Nobel laureates including James Watson, co-discoverer of the structure of DNA. The CSHL Graduate School, established in 1970, offers highly competitive PhD programs in neuroscience, cancer biology, genetics, and quantitative biology. Students pursue their doctoral research in the same laboratories as Nobel laureates and leading scientists in a spectacular waterfront campus setting. All PhD students receive full tuition funding and a competitive stipend.
