Occidental College

Occidental College is a private liberal arts college founded in 1887 in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles. Oxy is one of the oldest and most distinguished liberal arts colleges on the West Coast, and is the undergraduate alma mater of President Barack Obama (who later transferred to Columbia). The college enrolls approximately 2,000 students and is known for its Diplomacy and World Affairs program, its Urban and Environmental Policy program, and its proximity to Los Angeles cultural institutions and the entertainment industry.
