Undergraduate Application Requirements

  • Completed Application: Common App or Adelphi Application
  • Application Fee: $50 (fee waivers available for eligible students)
  • Official High School Transcript: Must be a graduate of a recognized four-year secondary school
  • Personal Statement or Essay: 500 words or less responding to a provided prompt or topic of your choice
  • Letters of Recommendation: Strongly encouraged
  • SAT/ACT Scores: Test-optional for most programs (middle 50%: SAT 1120–1320, ACT 24–30)
  • Auditions/Portfolios: Required for performing and visual arts majors
  • English Proficiency: TOEFL 80+ iBT, IELTS 6.5+, or Duolingo 110+ (for non-native English speakers)

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum GPA: 3.0 (average admitted GPA: ~3.7)
  • Nursing Applicants: Minimum 3.20 GPA; must have completed at least one Biology or Chemistry course with a lab in high school
  • Graduate Applicants: Bachelor degree from an accredited institution, minimum GPA of 3.0; GRE or GMAT required for some programs
  • International Students: Course-by-course evaluation for degrees completed outside the U.S.; English proficiency scores required
