Iowa State University

Iowa State University (ISU) is a public land-grant research university founded in 1858 in Ames, Iowa. A member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), ISU enrolls 30,000 students and has a legendary place in the history of computing — the Atanasoff-Berry Computer (ABC), the world’s first electronic digital computer, was invented at Iowa State in 1939. ISU is known for engineering (top-50 nationally), agriculture, design, business, and veterinary medicine programs.
