SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF)
The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) is a public specialized institution of the State University of New York, founded in 1911 in Syracuse, New York. ESF is the oldest and most distinguished college in the United States focused on the science, design, engineering, and management of natural resources and environments. The college owns over 25,000 acres of forest, wetland, and research properties across New York State and is consistently ranked as the top environmental science and forestry institution in the nation. ESF enrolls approximately 2,500 students and has a unique affiliation with Syracuse University, allowing students to access SU’s extensive academic and social resources.
